Culture

Back in 2006 just a handful of people worked for boohoo out of a tiny office in Manchester. Today, whilst the heart of the historic textile district of Manchester remains our home, our amazing team of over 5000 people work across the globe, but we remain one big boohoo family. Today our teams work in many countries around the Globe and it’s these people that make the boohoo group what it is.

It also might surprise you to know that all our hourly paid employees earn significantly above the National Living Wage, regardless of their age and no-one is employed on a zero hours contract, unless they request one.

We have always rewarded our people for the important part they play in the success of the business. So we have a wide range of perks and benefits to ensure everyone is rewarded and importantly has loads of fun at work.

Everyone in the boohoo family has the opportunity to take part in our Save-As-You-Earn share scheme. We also proudly issue free share options to every single employee so that they benefit from the growth they have contributed to creating. For some of our team this has earned them life-changing amounts of money. As our people progress through the business long term share options become an additional part of their renumeration package.

No-one knows more than our people on the front line, so we ensure that we have robust employee engagement forums and surveys in place to ensure that we understand how they are feeling and act on the suggestions they make to ensure boohoo group is a great place to work. Gender pay gap

We are delighted that our median pay gap has improved from 0.0% to a hugely impressive -4.1% for the Group. This demonstrates our continued drive to lead the way on equality through fair opportunity and pay. Our latest data also illustrates that exactly 50% of our senior leadership is now female and we are delighted to have just appointed our first female non-exec Director. We recognise and want to learn from others and make even more improvements to drive meaningful progress in this space.
